Finally we have a work of investigation into the history of the discovery of America that is amply documented and shows the real fraud created by the proponents of the accepted tale of an ignorant Columbus. It offers abundant clues to unraveling the great mystery that surrounds the «discoverer of America» and puts forth the long needed change in the perspective of the analysis of this historical figure.
It is absolutely clear that the navigator Don Cristóbal Colón who married a Portuguese noblewoman, wrote in a Portuguese flavored Spanish, was educated in many sciences, including Geometry and Latin, and had a direct connection to King John II of Portugal, was not the same Cristoforo Colombo,(Christopher Columbus) wool-weaver from Genoa.
What the documents and evidence reveal in this authentic and rigorous search for the true historic fact, and one without any «preconceived notions», is the unveiling of the genius spy-plan of the Portuguese King John II. He was without a doubt one of the greatest genius and political strategist of the past millennium.

«...this book proves that, whatever may have been his true name, it is a noble Portuguese lineage that best explains the enigmatic contradictions surrounding the life of Columbus

José Rodrigues dos Santos
In «Preface»

Manuel da Silva Rosa
and Eric James Steele transport us right into the secret world of the Portuguese Age of Discovery in a text that is fast paced, deeply detailed and full of surprises.
Some examples of these surprises is the true Coat of Arms of Columbus, Columbus's family ties to the court of Portugal and the undeniable proof of a forged Last Will and Testament of Columbus dated 1498 thus eliminating the only document where Columbus supposedly had affirmed that he was a Genoese.

It’s the new Book of Revelations about the discovery of America
that makes history out of the old Christopher Columbus
.

Note from the Editor on October 2006
It is with great jubilation that Ésquilo publishers sends to press the first edition on a global level of this fine work of investigation "The Mystery of Columbus Revealed" which had the original title of Unmasking Columbus: Spies, Lies, Royal Cover-up and Conspiracy... In the first meeting with the author Manuel da Silva Rosa, I was truly impressed by the deep and broad knowledge that he showed to possess about the Columbus documents, the facts and the overall history relating to this subject.

As he would talk about his findings he would pull up on his computer the documents on which he was basing his assertions. I realized immediately that the publishing of this book constituted an important contribution to the search of the historical truth not only relative to Columbus "the discoverer of America"; but also to the greater plan of the Portuguese Discoveries in which, after the henriquian era, emerged the notable leadership of King D. John II. "And it appears like the whole world is shaking / That he might open his arms and rip its veil" as the great Fernando Pessoa wrote of the Perfect Prince in his Mensagem (Message).

As in all historical works, these authors of Columbus present the documentation on which they base their theory and explain their perspectives on the theme. It is left to the readers as well as to the investigators to decide, of their own free will and without "pre-conceptions" what to conclude. However we can't help but say that the search for the historical truth in this case hasn't always been the principal objective of many academies. The experience reported in the Preface by José Rodrigues dos Santos is exemplary of this paradigm.

As the author of the Codex 632 stated «It constitutes a complete lack of accuracy to affirm that the discoverer of America was a Genoese Columbus, as is done by the majority of the history books.» And we add as well the majority of the Portuguese historians. We must ask «Why does this happen?»

On our behalf we publish the work with the hope of propagating the search for the truth with an honest and scientific  attitude void of "prejudices" taboo themes and dogmas as well as independent from ideologies and interests foreign to the evolution of human culture.
